Special 6 week drumming course – Elliott Orr

Here is Elliot’s last post for 2010:-

“This is going to be a special one people!  So come and get your ‘chops’ up for the silly season!!
Presenting the last course for 2010: A big 6 week course, culminating in a performance on Sunday the 19th Dec at the HiFi Bar, West End.
Beginning on Friday the 5th November, this course goes through to Fri Dec 17th. Note – there is one week off on the 10th Dec.

In this course I will be teaching Dinbe, N’Yanza, Bachelle and Boyobe – all 4 rhythms of the latest Banakuma from Chris Berry. It will be an action-packed course, to say the least! But don’t be put off if you don’t feel confident as I will be making it very achievable for all levels. In this way we will be in a position to perform with confidence the whole Banakuma on the 19th. Naturally you won’t be forced to be part of the performance – it is optional – but rest assured, it will be heaps of fun!!

The classes, while very effective in teaching you how to drum, are also just good fun – and we have tea & coffee breaks (provided).

Dates and Times

Friday nights Nov 5th, 12th, 19th & 26th plus Dec 3rd & 17th.
Beginners 6.30-8.20pm (Session 1 and 2)
