Mixed Beans Multicultural Choir

Mixed Beans is a free, multicultural choir for people of  all cultures and languages to have fun and exercise their English skills through singing and interaction with others. Unlike more serious choirs that focus on performance outcomes, Mixed Beans seeks to bring together people of all ages, cultures and abilities to create deeper understanding, so that we can enjoy a strong sense of unity in diversity through cross-cultural community music making.

    I have been a member or Mixed Beans for over a year now and love going to meet all the friendly members each week. The motivation comes from Cath our choir director, who always has a smile on her face and makes sure we have fun. I sang at primary school many years ago and now feel youthful again with our lively renditions of a colourful variety of songs. Singing is a way to escape the everyday worries that sometime frustrate us.
