This course will focus on the rhythm Nyanza which is the  WATER rhythm of the latest Banakuma (sacred collection of rhythms) that Chris Berry taught earlier this year. It’s a very beautiful and trance-like rhythm with an energising song.

The Friday evening is broken into 3 sessions. Payment includes 2 sessions. The first and second are for beginners and the second and third are for intermediate drummers. The first session is devoted to entry beginner drummers who are discovering how to find the bass, tone and slap on a djembe. it is paced at a comfortable, easy going pace.  More advanced drummers are welcome though and  will be stretched accordingly. The overlapping session is for all levels and focusses on the actual rhythms contained in the piece. The third session is for intermediate drummers,  ready to learn the more advanced aspects of the piece.
