Choirs up Noosa way….
Andrew Emmet: Professional Choir Director
Andrew started singing as a boy in the local church choir, and then won a scholarship to sing in Christ Church Cathedral Choir, Oxford.[UK] He sung there till the age of 13.
He started directing A Cappella Choirs [voice only] in 1996 in the Byron Bay area, and moved to the Noosa area at the end of 2005.
He directs four A Cappella choirs, three popular and one classical.
Andrew has made over 200 A Cappella arrangements of popular songs. Most in four part harmony, some with solo parts also.
He also arranges some of the music for the classical choir.
Singing in a choir requires commitment and practice, but the benefits are: Lots of fun, meeting new people, keeping your brain going!, physically good for you, spiritual awareness, and more!
All of the music in the choirs which Andrew directs is available as computer files to help singers learn their parts.
